**About Us**:
Metro Animal Emergency Clinic is a 24-hour Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care facility serving the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding communities. We are actively seeking skilled and experienced Technician Assistants to join our growing team. **About the Role**:

- Assist in the collection of patient history.
- Restrain pets as required for exams.
- Assist DVMs and RVTs with routine laboratory tests such as radiograph and ultrasound.
- Help prepare patients and the surgical suite for surgery.
- Ensure surgery suites are prepared and sanitized.
- Fill prescriptions for clients.
- Feed, bathe, and walk pets.
- Keep all wards and kennels properly cleaned and disinfected.
- Sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, supplies, and exam rooms after each appointment or treatment.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Stock cupboards and drawers with appropriate supplies (e.g., towels, blankets).
- Assist others in ensuring the reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas are clean.

**Education**:
A Veterinary Assistant program with 2+ years of work experience in an ER or GP clinic setting, or equivalent work experience would be an asset.
