Reporting to the Regional Manager for Corporate Health Record Transcription Services, the incumbent will be responsible for performing transcription/editing of dictated reports.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certification from a Medical Transcription Program or Health Record related program required
- Recent experience performing transcription/editing of dictated reports
- Previous hospital health records medical transcription experience required
- Working knowledge of M. Modal Fluency for Transcription system, Meditech and ITS
- Accuracy transcribing skills of medical records at a speed of 60 w.p.m.
- One year recent experience with computer software including Microsoft Office programs o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care
- Compliance with confidential requirements under the Niagara Health System Privacy Policy
- Demonstrated professional and informative attitude while interacting with the public, patients, employees and medical staff
- Must be available for all shifts, weekend rotations, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays
- Travel between sites required
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages(English and French) will be considered an asset
