As a
**Machinist,** you'll perform setup operations and operate conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

**What you'll do**:

- Machine products to tight tolerances in non-manufacturing environment.
- Utilize skills and aptitudes to support a variety of production needs
- Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy
- Working independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
- Computing and verifying dimensions to ensure accuracy.
- Observing all applicable safety practices and immediately reporting any unsafe practices or conditions.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints
- Minimum second level machinist
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time

**Preferred Requirements**:

- A journeyperson with CNC experience would be an asset
- Successful completion of TOWES (Test of Workplace Essential Skills) which will be facilitated and paid for by StandardAero **(Red Seal Journeypersons excluded)**.

Machinist (Apprentice)
- Enrolled or willing to enroll in a machinist apprenticeship
- Minimal experience required

Machinist I
- Completed Level II and/or III of a machinist apprenticeship program
- Minimum of 2 years manual machining experience

Machinist Il
- Red Seal Machinist
- Minimum of 6 years manual machining experience
