Norstar prides itself in providing a market-leading product that is exceptional on every level. To do this, we need an exceptional team. We are now seeking an experience CNC Laser Operator / Machinist to join our team.

The CNC Operator / Machinist will be responsible for the successful daily operation of a Doosan Puma 2600Y CNC turning centre, Manual lathe machine.

**Job Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Machining components according to blueprints
- Ensuring the quality of finished product
- Transport steel within the factory as required
- Operate tools and hoists to effectively complete jobs according to Norstar Safety Standards
- Assist and oversee the set up and operator of other Doosan Machine, providing back up to other operator as need be
- Basic roubleshooting and repairs of equipment as well as equipment maintenance

**Requirements**:

- Must have previous, related experience
- Experience setting up an CNC Lathe (tooling)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and guidance from shop leadership
- Ability to follow all safety protocols
- Physically able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Willingness to work Overtime as required
