We are currently seeking an AM Outbound Supervisor who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.
The AM Outbound Supervisor will be reporting to the Sr. Director, Warehouse Operations. This individual will be responsible for the oversight, planning and coordination of multiple functions and teams within the Distribution Centre inclusive of Visual, Marketing, Apparel and Non-Apparel for all business channels.
The AM Outbound Supervisor for Roots will be responsible for and evaluated on the following:
- Provide leadership throughout shift. Meet with staff daily to ensure the team is informed of their duties and direction as a department
- Oversee the processing of shipments of both domestic and international freight ensuring that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- In conjunction with the Team Lead, maintain accurate inventory levels for Wholesale, Franchise, and Non-Apparel. Lead the team through locating, cycle counting and inventory reconciliation within Momentis as well as maintain manual inventory counts and process management.
- Review, match and determine the accuracy of select freight invoices, conducting audits on discrepancies and proceeding with reversals in conjunction with AP and third-party logistic providers
- Ensure all customs documentation is prepared correctly
- Ensure special projects and assignments are completed accurately and on time
- Manage conflicting priorities, establish plans, see plans through, and delegate work as required
- Collaborate with other Management members to reach common goals
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Occasionally, step in as a part of the team in the capacity of a team member.
- Address attendance and performance concerns in a tactful, professional manner
- All other duties assigned
- Requires minimum of a 2+ year college program/diploma in related business/logistics field or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of Importing/Exporting as it relates to Customs, Tariffs and related documentation, functional knowledge of shipping systems is an asset
- Ability to learn and understand all WMS and Shipping systems at an intermediate level
- Working knowledge of supply chain distribution principles
- Working knowledge of Importing and Exporting regulations and documentation
- Strong problem solving, organization and people management skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to multitask under high pressure and volumes to achieve departmental objectives
- Proven leadership skills, coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members
- Ability to lead by example and model positive behaviours
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Good understanding and use of Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
