GENERAL LABOUR – TASK LIST 1. Warehouse & Facility Duties Load and unload trucks (manual or using pallet jacks/forklifts if certified). Move, stack, organize, and store products in designated areas. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards. Dispose of garbage, cardboard, and waste in proper bins. Assist in maintaining cooler rooms and production areas. 2. Production & Sorting Line Tasks Assist in washing, drying, sorting, and packing produce. Remove spoiled, damaged, or low-quality product. Operate conveyors, sorting machines, and basic equipment (training provided). Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Follow production flow to ensure efficiency. 3. Equipment Handling Use pallet jack (manual/electric). Use forklift if licensed. Safely handle tools such as knives, scissors, shrink-wrapping tools. Report damaged equipment immediately. Follow safety protocols during operation. 4. Quality Control Support Identify and remove rotten, moldy, or poor-quality product. Report any unusual product condition to supervisors. Ensure products are handled gently to avoid damage. 5. Shipping & Receiving Assistance Prepare orders for shipment (picking, labeling, palletizing). Check quantities, labels, and product condition. Help stage pallets for outbound trucks. Verify incoming shipments for damage or shortages and inform supervisor. 6. Cleaning & Sanitation Sweep, mop, and clean workstations at shift end. Clean machinery surfaces, tables, drains (training provided). Follow daily sanitation schedule. Maintain all food safety and HACCP requirements. 7. Safety & Compliance Wear required PPE (gloves, boots, uniforms). Follow WSIB and company safety policies. Report hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately. Participate in safety training and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures (if applicable). 8. Teamwork & Communication Follow instructions from supervisors and leads. Communicate issues promptly (product defects, machine problems, shortages). Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily targets. 9. Other Duties as Assigned Assist with inventory counts. Help set up production lines. Support special projects (cooler cleaning, seasonal work, equipment relocation). Perform any tasks assigned by management.
