**Temporary summer positions have the potential to become permanent in the fall.**

The positions entail working within a support team in a day program/centre, community settings, or group home settings; assisting adults who may have physical, developmental, mental health issues, and/or acquired brain injuries. Applicants must possess exemplary communication skills, be compassionate and energetic, and be comfortable supporting individuals with various disabilities.

**The Canada Summer Jobs program duration is **9 weeks between May 1st to September 5th** and requires applicants to meet the following eligibility criteria**:

- be between 19 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

**We have the following positions available**:

- 1 x Kelowna (Adult Group home) 9 weeks at 30hrs per week
- Positions are full time with shifts ranging from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional evening or weekend work. (The Employer reserves the right to make changes to your schedule as per the collective agreement)._

**_ Compensation: $20.84 per hour_**

**Job Duties May Include but Not Limited to**:

- Providing direct care, support, and assistance to individuals
- Following individual care plans*Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
- Accompanying/transporting individuals to appointments and activities in the community
- Completing daily documentation
- Hospitality duties: cleaning, cooking, laundry
- Working as a team player
- Leisure recreation activities

**Job Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Class (5) BC driver's license or Government-issued ID
- Minimum of one (1) year in university/college
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Negative TB Test
- Food Safe
- First Aid/CPR C
- Fully vaccinated for COVID
