**About the Role**

The Marketing Assistant is a 16 week contract in partnership with Canada Summer Jobs. The Marketing Assistant supports integrated communications and community development strategies across the organization. This position contributes to the planning and coordination of organizational communications and development initiatives including brand stewardship, community engagement, organizational events, donor, volunteer and member management, and other organizational communications.

**Position**: 35hrs/week, 16 week contract

**Compensation**: $20.81 per hour

**Qualifications**
- Job Skills & Abilities_
- Excellent time and project management skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Advanced skills in social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), protocols and strategy
- Ability to execute communications strategies and information related to The Bridge in the community, including proactive community engagement events, social media, and relationship development initiatives
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with the communication of sensitive community issues and the ability to navigate challenging situations
- Graphic Design and/or Video Editing skills would be an asset
- This is a physically demanding position. The Marketing Assistant will spend time at events standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, etc.
- Ability to operate telephone switchboard and other office equipment
- Requirements_
- Ability to provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination or letter of exemption
- Ability to provide Criminal Record Check in accordance with agency policy
- Clean, valid BC driver's license and use of reliable vehicle

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at start of employment
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
