We take great pride in being a student-centered faculty, focused on ensuring that our learners' academic journeys are rich, meaningful, and memorable." **The Position**: The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the teaching, administration and maintenance of Athabasca University's Philosophy (PHIL) courses PHIL 231, 342, 350, 375, and 380. Coordinator duties include supervising and monitoring the performance of course tutors (who teach and consult with students and mark their assignments), the handling of student issues as they are brought forward by students, tutors, or the institution (e.g. grade appeals, course credit challenges, academic misconduct cases, transfer credit requests), and service to the Centre for Humanities (e.g. attending meetings held by the Centre and by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences). **Qualifications**: - Athabasca University is hiring an academic coordinator with expertise in_ ethical and environmental philosophy. A minimum of a Master's degree in Philosophy is required; a PhD is preferred. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies are preferred assets.
