Customers come from all over the city for the quintessential Irish pub experience and stay for the tasty food and drinks You’ll have the opportunity to serve our famous yards of beer, flights of wine or scotch, and many other specialty cocktails. The Knotted Thistle also has a fun working atmosphere. We’re all close mates here. The tips are excellent, the shifts are flexible, with our busiest times being evenings and weekends. This being said, evening and weekend availability is a must for this position

The Bartender role involves exactly what you might expect; interacting with guests, pouring, mixing and serving drinks around the bar while also providing servers with beverages for their sections. Being that this is a team environment, you may also be required to assist servers in delivering food orders. Prepping the bar and completing some light cleaning duties can also be expected. While there may be times where you are typically hanging out behind the bar, there are also times where you may be needed to serve tables as well. We are looking for a Jack or Jill of all things food and beverage who can step in and help where needed.

Multiple years of experience are not required, however 6 months to 1 year would be beneficial. We want someone who would enjoy talking to our friendly business clients, local regulars, and our out of town hotel guests while serving a pint or two.
