**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is advantageous.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
- Knowledge of dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols within the practice.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
