As a member of the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre management team, you will be responsible for professional leadership of multiple continuing care units outside of regular business hours. You will work as part of a diverse team that includes staff, residents, families and physicians. Key aspects of the role include the professional development of your team, sound resource management and ensuring quality resident centered care. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with Covenant Health Mission, Vision, professional Standards of Practice and Legislation governing Continuing Care. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Administrative Resident Care Manager (ARCM) has both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ARCM is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation including resource management and direct supervision of unit staff. The ARCM interacts with residents, direct care staff, physicians, other departments and interdisciplinary teams, patient/residents, families and legal representatives on a daily basis. The ARCM facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient/resident care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers direct care staff. Essential to the role is the ability to create a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration by modeling the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. The responsibilities of the position are focused around four crucial aspects of care and service: people and teams, access and flow, quality and safety, efficiency and resources. This position is non-unionized.

**Required Qualifications**:
Graduate of a recognized Register Nursing program required; Combination of education and experience may be considered. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) required. Current Heart and Stroke BLS Certification (Level C) Health Care Provider required.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Charge Nurse experience required. Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution and negotiation skills required. Demonstrated commitment to safe, ethical care and professional accountability is required.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Baccalaureate degree (BScN) preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of recent nursing experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of recent supervisory experience recommended.
