Reporting to the Director, Global Payroll, the Global Payroll Manager is accountable for performing and supervising all activities necessary to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of the US, Canada, and international payrolls. You will lead a team of 1 direct report to deliver on the payroll function’s objectives.

**Responsibilities of this role include**:

- Lead and support your team in the HR life cycle, including hiring, setting objectives, performance development and training, career path and offboarding to ensure the payroll team is successful.
- Ensure Company employees from Canada, United States, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, New Zealand, etc. are paid on time and correctly, in accordance with KORE policies and Global payroll standards, specifically knowledge and experience with ensuring compliance with ESA (Employment Standards Act Canada), FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act USA), NES (National Employment Standards Australia) Employment & Labour Laws and Regulations in UK & NL, OSHA, ADA and other relevant employment law, FMLA, EEO, etc.
- Support, review and approve complete payroll cycle for semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll processing to ensure Company employees from Canada and United States are paid on time and correctly by completing a detailed review of registers before payroll is run to ensure all records are accurate. As well, act as back up for the Sr. Payroll Specialist to process US & Canada semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls as needed.
- Ensure Government reporting and filings, including Workers Comp. are completed accurately and efficiently, including ensuring you stay current with regulatory changes impacting payroll.
- Maintain a culture of high performance, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the teams on the commitments to standard operating procedures and excellent service deliveries.
- Effectively respond to customer queries and effectively address any pay issues etc.
- Efficiently support Finance and Human Resource reporting and analytics, initiatives and projects as required to deliver on the payroll mandate, including supporting any systems testing and ensuring process documentation is current for training your team.
- Support all other work as confirmed with your leader to ensure the payroll function is successful.
- Manage third-party provider ADP WFN and Celergo to ensure all requirements are met.
- Review/reconcile quarterly and year-end payroll reports including W2’s, T4’s and other required reporting. Including workers compensation reporting and reconciliation for Canada and US, and year-end audits.
- Efficiently support Finance reporting and analytic, initiatives and projects as required to deliver on the payroll mandate, including supporting any payroll related payments.
- Prepare the necessary journal entry transactions and reconcile to bank, as well as payroll general ledger support for the accounting team.
- Oversee regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger.

**Skills, Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Payroll Compliance Professional (CPM/PLP) designation
- Solid understanding of payroll systems (ADP WFN and ADP Celergo)
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements across jurisdictions including internal/external audit experience
- Strong understanding of processes such as HR, Finance, and Accounting functions and their impact on payroll
- Superior communication, and analytical thinking. problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a management payroll function
- Enthusiastic team leader with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing work environment
- Self-starter; comfortable challenging the status quo
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and customer service-focused attitude
- Results driven, ability to get things done
