Retail Store Co-manager

Judith & Charles is seeking a dynamic and inspiring **Co-Manager** for our Halifax location. In this role, you will partner with the management team to lead, develop, and support a team of fashion-driven professionals to meet and exceed commercial targets. You will co-lead the delivery of an elevated Judith & Charles experience at every client touchpoint.
You are a strong, decisive, and collaborative leader who could be called a mentor, a coach, and a guest experience expert. You naturally embody the brand values of timeless style, professionalism, and authenticity. At your core, you are someone who loves people and thrives on building lasting client relationships and high-performing teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Sales Excellence**
- Co-lead by example on the sales floor, supporting a client journey that is personal, intuitive, and aligned with Judith & Charles' high standards.
- Partner to deepen client relationships to meet and exceed sales targets, category goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Help drive team motivation and performance to consistently surpass commercial expectations.
- Support client development by coaching team members to build and maintain a strong personal client base.
- Inspire a passion for styling and product storytelling around Judith & Charles' key seasonal collections.
**Client Experience**
- Partner to execute a consistently client-centric approach and deliver exceptional service at every interaction.
- Help ensure that every touchpoint reflects Judith & Charles identity: elegant, sophisticated, and authentic.
- Be a visible leader on the sales floor, modeling elevated service and providing in-the-moment coaching.
- Assist in optimizing hospitality, environment, and in-store amenities to surprise and delight clients.
- Use client feedback to identify service opportunities and celebrate wins.
**Talent Development**
- Partner in hiring and retaining “people who like people”. Bringing in team members who are passionate, engaged, and aligned with the Judith & Charles brand.
- Help foster a climate of excellence through ongoing coaching, qualitative feedback, and recognition.
- Encourage an entrepreneurial spirit, empowering each team member to take ownership of their role and client relationships.
- Help create clear and challenging individual goals aligned to business priorities and results.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and growth within the team.
**Operational Excellence**
- Partner to ensure operational efficiency and back-of-house excellence.
- Help ensure alignment with company policies and procedures to maintain integrity and consistency in daily operations.
- Assist in monitoring and optimizing inventory levels, stock management, and visual presentation to support selling.
- Partner to identify and implement process improvements that support sales, service, and team productivity.
- Partner with head office teams on rollouts, new initiatives, and reporting needs.
**Qualifications Required**:
- Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience in women's fashion.
- Luxury environment experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales performance and supporting team-based results.
- Strong client and relationship-building skills with a keen eye for styling and wardrobe building.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail POS systems.
