**Position Summary**:
The **Finance Associate** focuses on working with the CFO to process daily, monthly, and quarterly information as required in the finance department.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensures data is entered for the preparation of monthly financial statements to be analyzed by the CFO.
- Process accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process accounts receivable, ensuring timeliness, accuracy of account codes, and appropriate backup.
- Assist the CFO with processing monthly accounting entries regarding discounted loan values in accordance with GAAP and First Peoples Economic Growth Fund (FPEGF) policies and procedures.
- Monthly reconciliation of GL to bank statements in accordance with FPEGF policies.
- Reconcile all General Ledger accounts monthly.
- Updating of the Provincial and Federal reports.
- Processing of Business Contribution Fund (BCF) claims.
- Assist the CFO with the development of a comprehensive budget for the general operations of the organization.
- Provides financial controls and reporting in accordance with policies established by FPEGF.
- Entry and balancing of CAFT (Customer Automated Funds Transfer).
- Assists with preparation for annual audit and acts as a contact for third-party audit personnel.
- Other duties, as may be assigned.
