Applications are invited for the full-time position of Business Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Services department located at the Welland Campus. The starting salary is $45.43/hr for a 40 hour work week.

In this senior role, the incumbent will be expected to assume the project lead role on enterprise-wide business analysis and IT initiatives, leading teams through the project management lifecycle and must foster and maintain a successful and productive relationship with the college user community at large to ensure projects are effectively and efficiently implemented, on time, on budget, meeting expectations, and in line with the strategic direction of the college.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Works closely with senior management across the College to gain an understanding of strategic directions, goals and priorities and their relationship to college systems
- Defines new (or enhanced) system requirements and business process improvements which combined yield substantial value in achieving strategic and operational goals
- Facilitates requirement gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders to elicit and document requirements
- Establishes, analyses and documents linkages between people, business processes, workflow, and systems
- Manages and leads multiple cross functional projects, allocating assignments or tasks to both functional and ITS resources, meeting deadlines, and performing change management and problem management processes
- Works with Systems Analysts to evaluate system and design alternatives and recommend the best path forward for implementation
- Plays a lead role in project management and implementation of system upgrades within the Academic areas
- Enables cross division synergies and learning through seeking of common solutions, and communication of best practices and solutions between Academic and Administrative divisions

**Qualifications**:

- Three (3) year degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Analyst/Programmer, or related field
- Minimum eight (8) years progressive experience in the information technology field, a majority of which involve business analysis and business process reengineering
- Significant project leadership role performing large scale business process redesign
- Experience with system design, integration, and development, with a focus on translating business strategies into business solution designs
- Extensive experience in the elicitation and documentation of business and system requirements for cross/multi divisional initiatives using best practice methods and tools
- Superior communication skills
- Strong problem solving, time management and project management skills with the ability to work independently, as well as manage and prioritize multiple assignments and issues
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed analysis of current and future business processes using best practices methods and tools
