**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop technicians to ensure timely and quality repairs.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff to enhance skills and ensure adherence to company standards.
2. **Workflow Management**:

- Organize and prioritize shop assignments and workloads to maximize productivity.
- Monitor ongoing repair work and manage scheduling to minimize vehicle downtime.
3. **Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to maintain high-quality standards in all repairs.
- Implement industry best practices and company policies related to vehicle maintenance.
4. **Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
- Conduct safety training for all personnel to promote a culture of safety within the shop.
5. **Inventory Control**:

- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering of parts.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast needs and manage costs.
6. **Customer Interaction**:

- Communicate with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and services being provided.
- Address customer concerns and feedback, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the service process.
7. **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of all repair work, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Prepare regular reports on shop productivity, equipment performance, and staff performance.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational training in vehicle maintenance or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial vehicle maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- CVI inspectors ticket
- class 3 or 1 drivers license
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery, engines, and components.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools related to commercial transport repairs.
**Skills**:

- Excellent leadership and personnel management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in automotive repair software and Microsoft Office Suite.
**Preferred Qualifications**:

- ASE certification(s) in relevant areas is a plus.
- Experience with fleet management and maintenance software.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations in the commercial transportation industry.

Pay: $45.00-$58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 96 per week

**Experience**:
