Together, we are building better bakeries. **The Bread and Butter of the Position**: If you enjoy driving, have an excellent driving record, a great attitude and strong work ethic, our Delivery Driver position may be your next career move We rely on our Delivery Drivers to deliver our artisanal products with pride and care to our customers ranging from small independently owned coffee shops and restaurants to large grocery retailers. Bonus points for previous commercial driving experience However, our Delivery Drivers drive 1 ton cube trucks so no additional licensing is required. Reporting to the Delivery Driver Supervisor, our Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for: - Working with teams of Delivery Drivers and Warehouse personnel to ensure all time goals are met comfortable - Loading and unloading product from trucks as per company policies and procedures - Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our products within the assigned geographical area - Taking pride in representing Portofino Bakery to our customers, demonstrating strong customer and relationship building skills - Ensuring orders are dropped off accurately at each location and where applicable merchandising store shelves - Handling administrative duties including but not limited to dropping off orders, recording stock counts, returns, and issuing credits - Complete all administrative duties and paperwork as assigned - Ensuring that product appearance and supply levels in various stores throughout their designated geographic area meet brand and sales standards - Learning and becoming familiar with all the routes - Keeping track of truck maintenance and cleanliness for the fleet of trucks - Other duties as assigned Shifts and availability: - Comfortable with 10-hour shifts (e.g., our full-time Delivery Drivers work four 10-hour shifts per week) - Must be available to work Wednesday - Sunday - Must be available to start work at 4:30am - This is a full-time permanent position **The Ingredients You Bring to the Table**: - Effective time management skills in a fast paced, changing environment - The ability to multitask, juggling several responsibilities simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - A willingness to be agile and manage ambiguity - Previous driving experience - bonus points for commercial driving experience - Excellent customer service skills - The ability to lift up to 50lbs - A class 5 driver’s license - A clean driver’s abstract from the past 5 years, with no major infractions - Strong time management skills - Detail-oriented and an eye for merchandising - A willingness to learn and grow - A commitment to upholding company policies, compliance and quality standards - A commitment to punctuality and reliability, showing up to shifts on time and ready to work - Strong verbal communication skills - The ability to work independently, as well as lead a group - The ability to work on your feet for extended periods - The ability to work in a clean, organized manner **The Details You’ll Loave**: - Healthy and frequent raises - Medical & Dental benefits including Life Insurance after 3 months, if you work at least 30 hours per week - Access to complimentary "staff bread" to take home - Opportunity for advancement - Bi-Weekly Cell Phone Allowance - Bi-Annual Footwear Allowance - Paid Training - Uniforms Provided **Our Values and What We Expect From Our Breadhead Team Members**: **Commitment** - We are committed to operating in a safety-first environment. - We are committed to providing a positive work environment. - We are committed to being a part of Portofino’s future growth and company goals. - We are committed every day to making and delivering products we can be proud of. **People** - We listen and value input from everybody - we have open doors at Portofino Bakery. - We use the golden rule and treat each other with respect, even when our opinions differ. **Performance** - We overcome challenges together as a team, we are stronger together. - We do not take shortcuts; we do things right. - We believe making the best products with better ingredients matters a lot. - We believe in continuous product innovatio
