**Position: Depot Manager, Bottle Depot.**
- **Compensation ranges from $60,000/annum and more (depending on experience) and includes company-paid extended health coverage that includes medical, dental, and vision.**_

**Regional Recycling **is looking to add a **Depot Manager** to their team who can demonstrate strong management and leadership skills for excellent staff management and smooth conduct of daily depot operations. The manager should have adequate administrative knowledge to support documentation and maintain a high level of accuracy in their day-to-day tasks. The manager will be responsible for the safe monitoring of all the site operations and ensuring the development of the staff to deliver unparalleled service. In addition, the Depot Manager is required to have a strong interpersonal and communication skills to hire, train, cross-train, lead, mentor, engage and motivate staff.

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR...**
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar industry in a supervisory or management role.
- Post-Secondary courses in business, warehouse management, logistics or related disciplines are an asset. A combination of work experience and education will be considered.
- Good business sense and applied business development skills including critical and strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, customer service, cash management.
- Experience with High-Speed Counting & Sorting Equipment or related equipment is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude including preventative maintenance on basic warehouse equipment is an asset.
- Basic computer, administrative, accounting, record keeping and file management skills.
- Having a Forklift experience would be an asset.
- Additional certifications including St. John’s Industrial First Aid, WHMIS, TDG (Transfer of Dangerous Goods), are preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours/days including weekends as required.
- A vehicle, valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 40 lb.
- A “can-do” attitude, strong leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High-energy, self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask.
- Good customer service skills, and strong attention to detail.
- High commitment to personal safety and the safety of the others.

**WHAT WILL YOU GET TO DO**

Reporting directly to the CEO & President, the manager will work to perform tasks such as:

- Managing depot in compliance with the company’s policies, safety regulations, and the Regional Recycling’s standard and safe operating procedures.
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy in daily operations, including shipping and receiving, equipment operations, processing of products, handling cash & cash deliveries, inventory counts and implementing safety checks.
- Follow protocols for all accounting and finance processes and reporting requirements.
- Educating team members in maintaining a safe work environment while enforcing health & safety policies and regulations in the workplace, including preventative equipment maintenance. Safety is priority.
- Training and/or coaching team members for improved customer service, quality, productivity, or teamwork performance. Conducting performance appraisals/reviews to accomplish better results.
- Maintaining a high level of customer and client service and strong ties in the community.
- Participating in operational and strategic planning and implementation processes.
- As skills develop further training for additional tasks will be provided.
