**Job Description**:
**What is the Opportunity?**:
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development & Marketing (BDM), Learning Systems, the Director of Business Development and Partnerships (BDP) will be responsible for maximizing revenue for the RCM across multiple business lines in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific markets.

This will be accomplished through the strategic coordination of Business Development Management, Sales & Marketing, Digital Marketing and Learning Systems channels. The BDP will identify and optimize the processes related to developing and facilitating sales training and education on commercial product success and business acumen with the aim of creating and growing a culture of self-generated revenue optimization.

The BDP will support the business development talent by identifying future revenue leaders and mentoring current team members into meaningful contributors to the success of the RCM revenue strategy.

**Summary**:
This role requires an experienced leader with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth. With a love of music, education and the arts, and inspired by the RCM’s mission, this role will develop effective strategies to influence, evaluate and guide the prioritization and planning process to transform new programs and initiatives into successful marketable products.

As a strategic thinker, this role will identify effective strategies for revenue optimization and global growth through building long-term meaningful partnerships.

Collaborate with the Vice President and program leads in other Royal Conservatory departments to develop strategies to connect with and solicit revenue strategies with the broader RCM departments, including feedback and data from students, parents, patrons, faculty and alumni.

This leader will be responsible for the execution of business growth and risk management in alignment with the RCM strategic priorities.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Planning and Implementation**
- Consult with RCM products teams (BD/Sales, Marketing, Digital) to develop strategies to maximize revenue opportunities and develop new markets.
- In partnership with the VP, BDM, develop and implement an annual revenue plan that enables RCM to achieve annual revenue goals, while providing business partners with achievable targets based on optimized pricing and promotion strategies.
- Understand and provide support during budgeting and marketing planning phase and participate in budget review and approval process. Identify new market opportunities, craft business models, and foster partnerships to expand market share.

**Revenue Optimization**
- Identify best practices of revenue generation and profit enhancing strategies and facilitate sharing and implementation across all markets.
- Pilot and execute sales launch for new products with distribution partners ensuring feedback and areas for enhancements are recognized and acted upon.
- Identify areas of incremental revenue growth opportunities with existing partners
- Provide context for a long-term business planning roadmap
- Identify new/underutilized areas of high potential for incremental revenue Plan scenarios related to customer and brand opportunities

**Performance Monitoring and Reporting**
- Review month end performance and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive incremental revenue through the means of forecasting, action planning, pricing, market mix analysis, channel management, inventory management, upselling, cross selling and others
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop internal reporting on success metrics, and attribution of initiatives towards market objectives.
- Monitor key indicators of product performance and third-party data sources to identify revenue opportunities
- Integrate with account plan process for target setting and monitoring with Sales and Business Development teams
- Assess the economic landscape, and articulate any risks and how it will influence RCM’s business and key account objectives
- Stay abreast of changes in the market and other environments that may affect revenue generation
- Keep track of business KPIs and team performance and act on the results
- Ensure compliance with internal and external processes and requirements Develop new tools to drive process improvement through innovation

**Team Leadership and Development**
- Provide orientation and transition support and training to new revenue team roles in all regions
- Mentor, develop and teach revenue team members and build revenue and business development knowledge for RCM stakeholders
- Assist in all recruitment efforts for revenue team members
- Improve comprehension and use of our CRS, Reporting, Business Tool and Information Management systems to support better decision making
- Other duties as assigned and related to the Learning Systems achieving objectives.
