**Responsibilities**:

- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Works from drawings and written instructions to create parts.
- Performs a wide variety of duties to set up and operate manual machines such as:

- Cylindrical Grinders
- Honing Machines
- Manual Lathe
- Manual Mills
- Surface Grinders

**Work Conditions**
- Ability to stand for a lengthy period
- Ability to physically lift up to 50lbs

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ Licensed machinist.
- Must be able to measure and maintain tolerances up to.0002 /.0005
- Inspects work pieces at beginning of and throughout production run to insure part meets tolerance requirements
- Requires basic knowledge of various metal and of measurements used in machining processes in order to provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced machinist.
- Knowledge of mechanical instruments, calibration techniques and requirements.
- Possesses basic math and problem solving abilities.
- Reads prints to recognize specifications for various surfaces being machined.
- Works from prints and determine operational sequences; select tools, spindle speeds, tool feed rates and chucking/holding requirements in accordance with materials.
- Inspects and understands when to replace cutting tools.
- Understands and verifies tolerances for machined surfaces.
- Detects worn tools and replaces tooling as appropriate.
- Trouble shooting and problem solving every day activities
- Maintain a safe working and good housekeeping practices
- Works effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexibility and Communication skills are very important
- Works well in a team as well as independently

**Salary**: $25.00-$60.00 per hour
