**Job Description**:
The Element Vancouver Metrotown by Westin, a 169 room hotel located in Burnaby, BC, is currently seeking a full time **ROOM ATTENDANT **to join the Housekeeping team;
**JOB SUMMARY**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Clean, refresh and restock guest bedroom, kitchen and bathroom areas according to established standards.
- Pay particular attention to public spaces at all times.
- Anticipate guest needs and follow through on any guest requests.
- Organize and stock cleaning cart.
- Organize and stock linen closets.
- Complete accurately, and in a timely manner, any assigned paperwork.
- Have a working knowledge of the local geographic area and all of the hotel’s facilities.
- Assist in the laundry room as needed.
- Assist in the cleaning of public spaces as needed.
- Ensure security of guest rooms and the privacy of our guests.
- Maintains a clean, safe and hazard free work environment at all times.
- Understands the emergency procedures for the hotel.
- Ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight.

**Requirements**:
**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Physical mobility and stamina required.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Detail orientated.
- Professional attitude at all times.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Previous Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMIS) training an asset.
- Prior hospitality or service industry experience is preferred
- Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience is an asset
