**Summary**:
Townline is excited to welcome a skilled and detail-oriented Manager, People & Culture (P&C) to join our growing team. In this new role, you'll have the opportunity to optimize key HR operations while helping to continually shape and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture in great organization. Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, you will manage HRIS administration, payroll processing, oversee talent acquisition, and employee relations, all while supporting the full employee life cycle. **Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Team Leadership & Support**:

- Work closely with the VP, People & Culture to guide and mentor the P&C team, supporting their growth and ensuring smooth operations and employee experience.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive environment that promotes team development and efficiency.
- ** Employee Life Cycle Management**:

- Oversee the employee life cycle from onboarding through to terminations, ensuring a smooth, compliant process.
- Maintain accurate employee records to streamline processes and minimize errors.
- ** Payroll Management**:

- Manage and verify bi-weekly payroll for 260 employees (hourly and salaried), ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations through ADP Workplace Now.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related issues promptly, ensuring a smooth process for employees.
- ** Legal & Policy Compliance**:

- Ensure full compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal employment laws, as well as company policies.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of policies that reflect best practices and align with Townline’s goals.
- ** Employee Relations & Support**:

- Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Contribute to initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- ** HRIS Management**:

- Manage and maintain the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), ensuring up-to-date, accurate employee data is always accessible.
- Streamline processes, ensuring that employee information is securely stored and easily accessible.
- ** Recruitment & Onboarding**:

- Oversee recruitment activities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs, and guide the development of effective onboarding processes for new hires.
- Work with the team to create a welcoming, smooth onboarding transition for all new employees joining Townline.
- ** Process Improvement & Growth**:

- Continuously identify and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burdens.
- ** Employee Engagement & Retention**:

- Contribute to initiatives that drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Promote a workplace culture that supports collaboration, inclusion, and productivity.
- ** Ongoing Learning & Development**:

- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth, both personally and for the team.
- ** Additional Duties**:

- Assist with other P&C-related tasks and projects as needed to support organizational objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Experience**: Minimum of 5 years in People & Culture, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
- ** Education**: University degree in a related field, with a CPHR (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation required. PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) certification is an asset.
- ** Skills & Expertise**:

- Experience in payroll administration, HRIS management, employee relations, and recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of accounting.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
