**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide in Retirement and Long-Term Care facilities to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that cater to their dietary needs. As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food service and want to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including dining rooms and food storage areas.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages.
- Provide support during meal service by helping residents with their dining needs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and service.

**Experience/Qualifications**
- Experience in a food service or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Possess Safe Food Handler Certification
- Possess CPR & First Aid - Level C Certification
- Obtain clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
