Product Development Manager

**PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER** Warehouse One and Bootlegger are working together to provide Canadians with their favourite pairs of jeans and other amazing fashions. Collaboratively, we are able to provide our coast to coast customers with men’s and women’s casual wear, through our over two hundred store locations and e-commerce stores. Our Product Development Manager is responsible for working with our team of product development, fitting, and quality control professionals to ensure both Bootlegger and Warehouse One’s products are meeting the fit and quality expectations of our customers. The Product Development Manager is responsible for guiding the day to day product development activities of the team. As our Product Development Manager you will be responsible for; - Providing detailed fit and construction instructions for garments to vendors; correcting fit issues and communicating changes in a timely manner following the seasonal product development critical path - Analyzing production samples; validating measurements, construction and workmanship of the garments - Developing and ensuring that quality assurance protocols are followed - Participating in fitting sessions to observe garments on live models; making notes to communicate to vendors directions to achieve a proper fit that meets Warehouse One’s and Bootlegger’s standards - Developing and updating fit specifications as needed - Collaborating with overseas vendors with respect to fit and quality - Assisting with fabric testing using our third party nominated supplier - Working collaboratively with our merchandising teams to achieve department goals - Leading the product development team to execute product according to seasonal timelines; anticipating and preventing issues for the team to keep the pathway clear - Responsible for performance evaluations, hiring and consistent coaching of the Product Development and Quality Control team Warehouse One and Bootlegger are looking for an individual who; - Has a minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in product development and fit - Holds strong technical knowledge of fashion product, fit, raw materials & construction - Has in-depth knowledge of garment construction methods, pattern making and fit - Experience working with PLM software is an asset - Is detail orientated and has strong accuracy and precision - Is a strong communicator and can articulate both verbally and in written communication - Is organized and detail orientated, especially when working under tight deadlines - Is collaborative and able to work as part of a team - Is experienced in leading a team; able to motivate, train, and coach others to success - Is a confident user of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel - Has the experience, capacity and self-initiative to "hit the ground running" - Is fashionable and enthusiastic about Warehouse One and Bootleggers casual products and image - Embodies Bootlegger’s core values; Trust, Teamwork, Passion, Entrepreneurship and Growth - Able to represent Warehouse One’s WHO WE ARE; Friendly, Caring, Committed, Real **Excited to Join Our Team? **Submit your resume today *** **YOU’LL FIT RIGHT IN WITH US** Do you love fashion and making people feel good?
