- **Roles and Responsibilities**_
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) (HAAS) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations
- Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- **Qualifications**_
- Experience with CNC equipment
- At least 2 years of experience as a machinist
- Manual machining experience is an asset
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in math
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
- **Compensation & Benefits**:_
- Wage is negotiable based on experience and trade certification;
- Extended healthcare benefits (after 3 months)
- Safety boot allowance (after 3 months)
**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
