Montréal, Canada L3Harris Technologies Full time

**Industrial Security Lead - L3Harris MAPPS Inc.**

The Security profession is one that covers many areas - but the type of security specialist we seek is not one who solely governs physical security (although facilities security is a component) but the elements associated to working within the defense industry. This includes understanding and managing such elements as Controlled Goods Program, Export Controls and The Canadian Industrial Security Program.

In addition, this role ensures employees’ safety in foreign countries, that new employees to L3Harris are appropriately vetted through various government agencies, that our vendors and visitors adhere to the exacting demands that are required to work alongside us in the defense industry, and that we manage all defence industry security and risk-related assessments on behalf of L3Harris and its employees, both on-site and off-site.

This is an ideal role for someone who understands the impact of the Controlled Goods Program, has a global perspective of industrial security and that of defense contractor security, risk assessment, security investigations and hazard assessments, controls and protocols related to customer compliance and Export Controls.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Provide guidance to company personnel on security related matters;
- Support the company and its employees to ensure compliance with the Canadian Industrial Security Program, Contract Security Program, Controlled Goods Program;
- Ensure compliance with all physical and intangible security requirements of the company;
- Manage the company data center including the transfer and handling of electronic data and information to ensure compliance with government, corporate and customer contract security requirements;
- Manage access controls and security screenings for all employees and visitors;
- Develop and enforce general and site-specific security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines;
- Ensure company compliance with new or revised government regulations or corporate security requirements;
- Oversee the security aspects of travel for company personnel including personal protection plans, laptop compliance and approval for travelers to high and extreme risk countries;
- Coordinate requirements and policies with other L3Harris Security Leads across L3Harris;
- Provide required training for employees regarding security matters;
- Administer crisis management and emergency response plans;
- Responsible for company risk management.
