**Job Title **Purchasing & Materials Coordinator

**Reports To **Plant Operations Manager

**1.0 JOB PURPOSE**
Manage and support the production department by ensuring raw material inventory are maintained at an adequate level to meet the demands of the customer.

**2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supports the Production Supervisor on meeting production & material requirements.
- Responsible to complete corrective actions and close them out in the allotted timelines per Q-QA
- 04 Completing Corrective Actions Process and Customer Specific Requirements.
- Responsible to log, track and report out all daily, weekly and monthly on time deliveries and logistics metrics.
- Responsible to attend the APQP kick off meetings and other review meetings, and complete APQP activities as defined in Q-ENG-01 Product Quality Planning Process, and the AIAG manuals.
- Responsible for ensuring the implementation of Q-MT-03 Supplier Management Process and Q
- MT-01 Purchasing & Receiving Process.
- Scheduling of customer orders and time releases to production.
- Ensure scheduling and forecasting is completed to meet customer and revenue commitments.
- Responsible for the movement and storage of raw material; finish product; packaging and components.
- Manage inventory in terms of inventory level, lead time, turns.
- Liaison with customers and suppliers. Receive customer orders, enter into ERP system and ensure able to meet shipping requirements.
- Manage critical supplier relationships. Ensure product supply is timed to satisfy customer requirements by managing the procurement of materials to ensure best cost, optimal delivery targets and that quality performance meet expectations.
- Responsible for customer PO information being input into the ERP system.
- Responsible to notify Sales Manager for production parts & Engineering for service parts, that customer PO is in the system for review.
- Responsible to enter BOM information into ERP, verifying the information is correct & notifying sales and engineering of any concerns.
- Responsible for monitoring, evaluating & approving Suppliers and updating Approved Supplier List and other Supplier documents.
- Responsible for approved Suppliers being used, whenever required, for the purchase of goods.
- Responsible to attend the weekly production meeting.
- Responsible to review the Daily Line Up.
- Responsible to manage materials department.
- Responsible to oversee custom & logistic activities and retain records.
- Responsible to ensure materials & logistics are purchased at most competitive rates & on budget.
- Responsible to ensure department shops all materials & logistics out to 3 vendors with maintained records unless cost estimating has already obtained the quotes.
- Responsible for customer deliveries being conducted per Q-MT-04 Customer Delivery Process &
Q-MT-05 GM Ship Direct Process
- Responsible for internal & external logistic requirements
- Responsible to complete layered process audits as per the schedule

**C) EXPERIENCE**
- 5 years’ experience in Inventory/ Logistic Management
- Experience in a manufacturing atmosphere, preferable injection molding - preferred.
- Experience with an MRP system.

**D) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid passport
- Valid driver’s license

**4.0 WORKING CONDITIONS**
- May be required to travel as needed for company business
- Periodic evening or weekend is expected

**5.0 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to lift up to 15kgs.
