Materials Engineer - Senior (Windsor, Ontario) Base pay range: CA$38.00/hr - CA$40.00/hr Job Responsibilities Operations of two brake‑end dynos and one full‑size chassis dyno, including test setup and reporting. Supervision of unionized personnel and associated duties (safety, environmental, conflict resolution, etc.). Data analysis using the Laser Vibrometer and Caliper Test Stand. Unplanned departmental activities such as vacation coverage in the Electromechanical Systems Test Lab. Coordination and shipping of specimens and samples to product engineers and suppliers. Collaborating with external suppliers to lead dissections of components, track budgets, and generate purchase orders. Working with ARDC management and the University of Windsor to interview, hire, and train co‑op students. Excellent communication and leadership skills for coordinating and instructing bargaining unit mechanics. Cross‑functional collaboration with the mechanic supervisor, union, management, maintenance, and facilities teams. of a 24/7 operation, including afternoon, midnight, weekend, and overtime shifts as required. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Materials Engineering from an accredited university. 3+ years of engineering experience in the automotive/testing industry (testing experience preferred). Experience working in a unionized environment. Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to travel to the USA. Valid driver’s license. Knowledge of vehicle suspension and braking systems. Experience with Team Center and NX (asset). Knowledge of Link ProLink software suite (asset). Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) (asset). Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VBA. Strong time management, leadership, planning, and follow‑up skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
