**Intermediate Hydrogeologist/Environmental Site Assessor**

**Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation**

**Mississauga/Markham, ON**

Pinchin's Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation group is seeking an Intermediate Hydrogeologist for our GTA region. The primary components of the work are to oversee subsurface field investigations, hydrogeological studies, and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) under O.Reg. 153/04.-
**What you will be doing at Pinchin**
- Oversee subsurface field investigations and hydrogeological studies, which requires a working knowledge of basic hydrogeological principles (groundwater flow, gradients, hydraulic conductivity, etc.)
- Conduct groundwater, soil and surface water characterizations and remedial assessments
- Coordinate site supervision of subcontractors
- Oversee the collection of hydrogeological data, including soil and groundwater samples in accordance with O.Reg. 153/04
- Develop technical solutions using applicable scientific methods
- Prepare hydrogeological study reports and Phase Two ESA reports of findings and recommendations
- Have responsibility for the financial aspects of assigned projects
- Participate in business development efforts with both new and existing clients
- Mentor and train junior professional staff, providing technical guidance for their work
- Maintain and enhance quality control within the group
- Submit all work for quality review prior to submission to clients

**What you bring to the Pinchin team**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Sciences with a Hydrogeology option or Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Civil or Environmental option
- Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience conducting hydrogeological assessments and O.Reg. 153/04 ESAs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated)
- Availability to travel for work within the GTA region. Occasional travel within other areas of Ontario may be required
- Availability to occasionally work outside of core business hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)
