**Summary**

Quality Control Technician is responsible for direct examination of products to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with customer specifications and legislation. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, Quality Control Technician is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance policies and identifying defects and production errors in order to prevent the materials from entering the supply chain.

**Job Duties**
- Inspect materials across all stages of production and remove defective items.
- Designate the reason for removal and report defects to the manager.
- Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement.
- Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, provincial, national, and international standards and legislation.
- Create and maintain QA control documentation.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Electrical/electronics/technical expertise is required.
- Minimum 3 years of direct work experience with QC/QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
- Direct knowledge of QC/QA methodologies.
- Practical experience with product testing.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Capable of multi-tasking and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
- Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures and design documents.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
