Full-time Studio Assistant

Meirako is hiring a Studio Assistant to support our jewelry studio. This position is a **full-time** employee. This role is responsible for supporting the jewelry production and online jewelry sales of the shop.

Meirako is a growing jewelry company based in Nisku, Alberta which is located 10 mins away from South Edmonton. Our business is an e-commerce based jewelry company. We pride ourselves on having a current and efficient e-commerce store and making memorable jewelry.

Jewelry experience is not necessary for this position but is preferred since jewelry-making is an important part of the job.

A positive and can-do attitude is very important.

The studio assistant will handle the shop’s office & production procedures, oversee the inventory of our e-commerce platforms, and provide excellent customer service to our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
**CUSTOMER SERVICE**

**ORDER FULFILLMENT**
You will pack and ship jewelry orders from our online website. You will keep track of the shipping status and follow up with customer orders as necessary.

**ORGANIZING AND CLEANING THE STUDIO**
Clean, organize and maintain studio work area.

**WEBSITE SUPPORT**
We are on the Shopify e-commerce platform, and experience with this platform is not necessary, but attention to detail and a willingness to learn are required.

You will maintain the inventory count on our website so it accurately reflects the jewelry on hand in our studio. As new items are created, you will write product descriptions, organize photos, and list the products for sale on our website.

**PICKUPS AND DROP-OFFS**
You will take deliveries to the Post Office, Chitchat, and Fed-Ex as needed.

**ORDER AND MANAGE JEWELRY SUPPLIES**
You will place orders from the workshop for any needed parts and supplies from our vendor and track their status.

**JEWELRY MAKING**
We are a handmade jewelry business. You will make jewelry by using a jewelry machine or tool after training.

**MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA**
You will assist with scheduling our social media marketing and engaging with customers when all of the tasks above have been completed.

**LIGHT BOOKKEEPING**
The Office Assistant will manage our daily bookkeeping in Accountedge. You will accurately record our jewelry sales and purchases in the software. You will monitor our accounts payable and receivable and send invoices to clients when necessary. As new jewelry is created in the studio you will add these items to our inventory in the software.

**PERMANENT JEWELRY MAKING **Provide permanent jewelry service to customers at the studio, pop-ups or events.

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Knowledge of jewelry or experience in the jewelry industry is not required, but a positive and can-do attitude is very important. Also, impeccable attention to detail is a must. Should be willing to learn.

**Salary**: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Hours: 6-8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
