We are looking for a **Technician** with telecom experience for our client in **Brampton,** **ON**. They specialize in Optical Network Repair. They have diversified Inside and Outside Plant infrastructure build contractors, servicing major telecommunication and utility companies across Ontario.

**Responsibilities**:

- Repair, build, upgrade, rebuild and sweep the active and passive equipment and power supplies in cable systems. This will include the reconfiguring and replacing of equipment in panels and pedestals.
- Addressing and correction of leakage and noise issues.
- Will perform all other duties as required by the departmental manager.
- Must be able to carry and climb a twenty-ten-foot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds.
- Must be responsible to maintain a fit condition to bend, kneel and climb during the installation process.
- Must have the dexterity to use hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, pliers, side cutters, etc.)
- Must be able to safely lift loads of 65 lbs.
- Must be competent to perform tasks at heights exceeding 30 ft.

**Requirements**:

- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company.
- Will set up and work safely on high-traffic roads according to Book 7 standards.
- Must attend and participate in all required safety training programs.
- Must identify all unsafe working conditions and not proceed with work if it endangers the technician, other workers, customers, and/or the public.

**Location**:Brampton, ON

**Timings**: 7:00am (8-10 hours) shift

**Pay Rate**:$17 per hour starting and can increase based upon the experience.

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
