Situated in Downtown Banff, our busy Head Office coordinates and supports the activities of our hotels, restaurants, spas, cinema, and retail outlets.

Our Assistant Reservations Manager will oversee the day to day operations of the ever so busy Reservation Department. Our Assistant Reservation Manager will schedule, prioritize workloads, supervise, train and motivate our Reservations Team

**What you will be doing**:

- Resolve problems quickly, efficiently, and courteously for guests and/or Front Desks.
- Work towards an ultra-efficient operation, contributing to assessment and recommendation for change to make processes more efficient.
- Work with the Reservation Leadership Team to ensure a fair, fun and productive work environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with Front Office Managers and Front Desk Teams to ensure consistent and ongoing communication occurs, and maximize effort to ensure the best possible guest experiences occur.
- Assist with recruitment, selection, training and retention strategies for Reservation Sales team employees.
- Oversee employee scheduling, payroll, work times, breaks and general conduct.
- Strategize for employee retention, growth, and depth within the department including creation of employee incentives and reward programs.
- Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times and that all colleagues are committed to working safely.
- Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest needs.

Skills and Experience
- Prior experience training, coaching, mentoring and motivating colleagues;
- Previous experience with hotel information management systems is desirable. Prior experience with Maestro will be considered a significant asset;
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation and objection handling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skill
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
