**The Village of Wentworth Heights located in Hamilton, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a PERMANENT FULL-TIME CHEF to join their Ruby Restaurant.**

**To be successful as our new Ruby Chef, you will**:

- Have a passion for menu and recipe development regularly developing new features, seasonal items, etc. that support the branded menu guidelines
- Knowledge of cost control
- Plan a rotation of meals to support the internal delivery program
- Experience in coaching and developing a team
- Develop a rapport with returning residents and family
- Be a graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college or equivalent related experience
- Possess a food safety certification
- Possess a Smart Serve
- Be excited by our objectives, our Village philosophy and the family values that shape all aspects of life in a Schlegel Village
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role

**It would be an asset if our new Chef has**:

- Acquired a Red Seal designation
- Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to senior living
