**About your next** Challen**ge** as a **Life Cycle Materials Manager (LCMM)**:
The Material Management Specialist is responsible for the assigned systems throughout the Equipment Life Cycle. The Specialist will be responsible for the system Configuration Management using DND Tools including but not limited to, AMAFs, APAFs, CMPCs, CM Panel, DRMIS. The Specialist will liaise with R&O subcontractors, typically the OEM, as well as DND, the Customer, during the performance of their duties.
**What You Will Do**:
For the selected CP140:
- Monitor equipment acquisition and acceptance into service;
- Monitor equipment availability and serviceability;
- Direct disposition of spare and repairable assets;
- Analyze unsatisfactory condition reports;
- Initiate and/or review configuration change requests;
- Review and update maintenance schedules and plans;
- Prepare procurement and R&O estimates;
- Catalogue new components using DRMIS;
- Initiate and/or approve changes to technical publications;
- Provide technical support to DND operating units;
- Provide technical support to L3 ESS technicians and engineers;
- Liaise with ILS team for Obsolescence Reporting and Sparing Analysis;
- Provide disposal recommendations;
- Carry out other duties as required.
**Required Skills and Experiences**:
- Aerospace electronics technologist diploma or equivalent military training and experience.
- Experience in an aerospace maintenance environment, preferably military.
- Must be eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Controlled Goods Regulations Program (CGRP) government clearances.
- Ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision.
- Basic competence with Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
**Preferred experience**:
- Experience with the DND aerospace modification processes.
- Experience with life cycle material management.
- Experience with maintenance of CP140 avionics and mission systems.
- Experience with DND resource management and maintenance management information systems.
- Experience with airworthiness regulations.
**Eligibility Criteria**:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada **“Reliability”** status and **Level 2 (Secret)** security clearance;
- For on-site positions, our location is accessible by public transport
