We have a full-time position for an Intermediate Environmental Consultant who will lead and execute field programs. This role provides opportunities to assist with the assessment and remediation group's growing presence across Alberta. Technical, organizational, and leadership skills are key considerations for this position. Previous experience in environmental consulting is required.

The project work is across Alberta, and the position will require travel and work across the province.

**Technical**
- Coordinate and execute Assessment and Remediation projects, including:

- Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Groundwater Monitoring
- Tier 2 and Site-Specific Risk Assessments
- Soil Monitoring and Management Programs
- Spill Response, Assessment, and Remediation activities
- Remedial Action Plans
- Liability Assessments
- Prepare associated reports for senior review.
- Provide technical support to junior staff and complete peer reviews of applicable reports.
- Participate in Ecoventure’s on-the-job training and mentorship programs.
- On an as-needed basis, provide support for conservation and reclamation projects.

**Project Coordination**
- Project setup and host kick-off meetings.
- Project budget, logistics, and schedule management and reporting.
- Proposal preparation and cost estimating.
- Subcontractor pre-qualification and management.
- Uphold Ecoventure's Quality Management System.
- Uphold Ecoventure's strong commitment to the Health and Safety Program.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years’ experience in environmental site assessment, remediation, and oil and gas industry reclamation.
- A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and currently holds or can obtain a registered technologist or professional designation (P. Eng., P. Ag., P. Geo., P.Chem., P.Biol.). Preference given to individuals with professional designations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise junior staff and contractors in the execution of project work.
- Understanding of environmental regulations relating to Alberta and the regulatory life cycle of the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Experience and understanding of the logistics of work in remote environments.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of computer programs like Microsoft Project Operations, Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Current safety, H2S, First AID, CSO, Ground Disturbance Level II, ATV Training, and a clean driving record are all assets.

**Additional Qualifications**:

- A positive attitude with a proven ability to work with project teams.
- Experience and training in Project Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience or training courses in Alberta Tier 2, Subsoil Salinity Tool, and Risk Assessment are considered assets for this position.
- Experience with additional software, such as AutoCAD, Trimble, Surfer, and Leapfrog, and database systems, such as Siteview and Petrosight, are considered assets.
