We are hiring a Full-Time Temporary Food Production Worker/Machine Operator to support our food production team. This position will begin with a **3-month fixed-term contract**, with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role upon successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.

**Machine Operator Working Hours: 6:15AM - 3:15PM (Monday - Friday) x 1 Position**

**General Helper Working Hours: 6:45AM - 3:15PM (Monday - Friday) x 2 Positions**

**Objective**:
The Machine Operator (Ready-to-Eat) ensures the smooth operation of the packaging and production machinery in the RTE department. The role involves operating, setting up, and troubleshooting production equipment while maintaining food safety standards and adhering to company quality guidelines.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Check with Supervisor for assigned product and machine setup requirements.
- Set up and operate rollstock machines for production, ensuring all lines are webbed properly.
- Prepare and calibrate auto labelers and daters, ensuring accuracy of labels and dates for each product run.
- Conduct visual checks and swab equipment parts when changing rollstock, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
- Safely lock out machinery during rollstock changes or bucket changeovers to prevent accidents.
- Monitor packaging for quality issues such as leaking or improperly sealed packages.
- Switch between nitrogen generators and bulk packing modes, ensuring the correct purge and oxygen level tests with HACCP before resuming production.
- Complete all required production and quality paperwork accurately and on time.
- Be aware of surroundings and assist with other production tasks as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of machines and work area.
- Report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is performed in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, machinery, and food production areas.
- May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Must adhere to all safety and hygiene standards, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

**Interview Type**:

- **In-person interview** and **On-site Machine Operation test** will be conducted to determine skills in operating machines.

**Benefits**:

- Starting salary is **$16 per hour**.
- Pay will be adjusted to **$17 per hour** upon successful completion of the probationary period for **Machine Operator** Only.
