315 - (Day) CNC Saws Operator

Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output
Ensure that product standards of quality and quantity are met
Understand controls, feed rates, pinch points, and dangerous zones to operate machine safely
Responsible for setting up saw and cutting material into required lengths as per job specifications and tolerances
Cuts and verifies parts are within customer required tolerances using micrometer and caliper instruments
Select and change machine blades safely as required
Labels and marks each part with required identification
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
Performs daily tasks of saw maintenance checks and daily housekeeping
Check output to ensure consistency with specifications
Maintain quality objectives and verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications
Follow all company policies and procedures
Complete all daily 5S tasks
**Qualifications**:
Basic knowledge of computer operations
Skilled in interpreting schematics, blueprints and other drawings
Must be able to use and understand how to read a tape measure and precision measurement tools such as calipers and protractors
Must have a good understanding and be able to determine angles and pitch
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds consistently during the day
Able to use tools and machines with an attention to detail
Must have proven mathematical skills
Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing demands
