**THE ROLE**

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the daily logistics activities for their plants. The position will work to maintain the weekly shipping schedule, schedule pickups with transportation companies and coordinate confirmations with contractors to insure shipment timing. Also ensure that shipments are complete in system to ship and manage the paperwork required for the shipping department. Strong multi-tasking skills and excellent attention to detail are qualities integral in this position. The ability to provide insight into policies and procedures along with dedication to safety, quality and success are important for the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain Department.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures that transportation modes, frequency of transports and routing are as efficient, safe and as cost effective as possible.
- Manage contracted carrier relationships and schedule weekly truck requirements based on shipping schedules.
- Works with Project Coordinators, Planning, Shipping, as well as Sales to ensure complete orders are shipped on time.
- Verify packing slips / carrier waybills for accuracy of materials delivered and process receipt transactions into the IFS ERP system.
- Contact contractors to confirm shipments prior to pick up.
- Supports and develops the logistics improvements at their respective plants.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience and confidence using ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Multi-tasking, leadership, quick-thinking, take-charge mentality with the ability to make decisions with little supervision.
- Displays effective organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Bi-lingual in both French and English. Possesses excellent complex problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrates strong active listening and reading comprehension skills.
- Has exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of computer systems and programs relevant to the industry.
