We are looking an Advisor, Tidal Natural Gas Accounting to join our Tidal Energy Marketing Team If you have a business or accounting degree and strong problem-solving ability, keep reading

**What you will do**:

- Reconcile third party pipeline statements to Openlink (Endur)system monthly.
- Generate counterparty invoices for counterparties as the need arises for the current business and as new contracts are established.
- Investigate, document, and resolve deal discrepancies by liaising with Tidal Commercial Trading, risk team as well as external sources.
- Complete settlement process for both Tidal entities as well as specific Enbridge entities, meeting both industry and Enbridge timelines.
- Perform actuals to estimates variance analysis. Review bank statements to prepare required cash receipts, debit memos and credit memos.
- Maintain A/R sub-ledger and balance to the general ledger.
- Prepare month end journal entries, including recurring and reversing entries, bank and FX entries and inter-company entries.
- Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in various reporting and analytical tools including, Power BI(with ability to build intermediate level Power BI reports), MS Excel(with ability to coordinate and analyze large volumes of data using functionalities, such as, Pivot Tables, Index, Match, VLOOKUP, Logical functions, etc.), Hyperion Planning and Essbase systems(with working knowledge to generate different queries for analyses and insights): and recommend improvements to the systems.

**Who you are**:

- University degree in business/accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience in a commodity marketing accounting environment, natural gas, and renewable energy preferred.
- 5+ years of related experience in gas marketing or energy services.
- Professional accounting designation is an asset or certification such as CAPPA certificate.
- Experience in marketing and trade environment.
