**Overview**

**Duties**
- Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.

**Qualifications**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of lifting heavy loads and long hours on the road.
