Our restaurant works in tandem with our whole animal shop, The Butchery, sourcing all products directly from producers and dry aging everything in house. We do baking, charcuterie, prepared foods, butchering and wood fired cookery within our walls—nothing is outsourced. **Job Description & Key Responsibilities**
- Adhere to safety policies and follow the sanitation standard operation procedure (SSOPs) to clean the facility areas and equipment
- Washing pots, dishes, glasses, cups and all other kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen
- Ensure the dishwashing area is always clean and free of debris
- Report any damage, theft and abandoned articles to the Supervisor
- Ensure cleanliness is maintained in the various kitchen areas including all operating equipment, refrigerators and storerooms.
- Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are organized and cleaned in the various kitchen areas on a daily basis.
- Aid in the transportation of all dishes, equipment, and smallwares, to be sure it is arranged and organized up to the standards set by the Sous Chef and the Kitchen Manager.
- Ensure dishes, equipment, and smallwares are stored in appropriate locations and organized to ensure high standards of cleanliness, minimizing waste and maximizing space.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School preferred but not mandatory
- Working fluency and command of the English Language
- Experience working in the kitchen and/or using a large industrial dishwasher is an asset
- Food Safety is required
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 45 lbs
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a team player who works well with others.
- Positive attitude and a consistent display of professionalism.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares.
- Remove garbage as assigned.
- Sweep & Mop as needed to maintain a safe work environment.
