Saskatoon, Canada IWL Steel Fabricators LP Full time

IWL Steel Fabricators is a well-established custom steel fabricator with shops in Saskatoon and Martensville. IWL Steel is well-positioned to offer a full range of products and services throughout Saskatchewan, Western Canada and the northern United States.

We are currently hiring a parts detailer for our Saskatoon location. The parts detailer is responsible for reading the drawings and specifications provided, interpreting the drawings, processing raw materials and organizing the parts required for drawings to go to the fabrication department.

**Duties**:

- Processing raw material to make parts out of angle, flat bar, round bar etc.
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams
- Measure, cut, and shape metal using precision tools and equipment
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Check off the BOM on drawings to ensure all required parts are with the drawing packages.
- Operate various power tools and machinery such as press brake machines, saws, and drills
- Operation of overhead cranes
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications:

- 1 year experience or more in a custom steel fabrication environment.
- Ability to lay out, cut, assemble, fit and tack from blueprints with minimum supervision
- Overhead crane experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Good knowledge of welding techniques and processes
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good knowledge of material size, types, shapes and grades
- Must have driver's license & own transportation

Work Hours: Monday thru Thursday - 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
