The **Scanning/Metrology Technician** plays a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and precision of measurements in an engineering environment. They are responsible for operating and maintaining scanning and metrology equipment. The role demands a keen eye for detail, proficiency in technical equipment operation, and a solid understanding of measurement principles.

**In this position, you will**:

- Operate scanning and metrology equipment and ensure proper calibration and setup of equipment for accurate measurements.
- Conduct precise measurements of components, parts, or assemblies using scanning and metrology tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of measurement data, inspection results, and equipment calibration logs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with scanning and metrology equipment. Perform regular maintenance tasks on the equipment.
- Travel will be frequently required to different job sites for field work.

**Qualifications and skill sets**:

- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not required.
- Experience surveying, working with CAD data or point cloud data considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to convey measurement results, findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset to interpret measurement data.

We specialize in providing maintenance engineering support to keep existing industrial facilities and infrastructure operational, as well as executing Brownfield projects to upgrade existing infrastructure.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50-$37.40 per hour
