CAD & 3D Scanning Technician

NC Industrial is a heavy industrial machining and manufacturing company serving the mining, aggregate, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a CAD & 3D Scanning Technician to support our operations, quoting, and technical documentation requirements.
This role is primarily focused on CAD work and 3D scanning, with additional technical support responsibilities as part of a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform 3D scanning of components and assemblies using portable scanning equipment
• Process scan data and convert it into usable CAD models
• Create and modify 2D drawings and 3D models for repair, manufacturing, and reverse engineering
• Support quoting and job planning with measurements, drawings, and technical input
• Maintain and organize digital files, drawings, and scan data
• Assist with technical documentation and job packages
• Travel to customer sites as required for scanning and data collection
• Communicate with operations, sales, and shop personnel to support job execution
Qualifications & Experience
• Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or similar)
• Experience with 3D scanning equipment and scan data processing
• Ability to interpret mechanical components, assemblies, and tolerances
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or machining environment is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites when required
