**Duties**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in areas such as orthodontics and pediatrics.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with Tracker an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in dental assisting are advantageous.
