**Position Summary**:
As a Full-Time Cook at Vistamere Retirement Residence, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, nutritious, and delicious meals to our residents. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met. You will work closely with the kitchen team to create a positive dining experience that meets the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following established menus and recipes.
- Ensure all meals are nutritious, visually appealing, and meet the dietary needs of residents, including special diets and food allergies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating resident feedback and seasonal ingredients.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
- Monitor portion control and minimize food waste.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing any dietary concerns or preferences.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a retirement residence, healthcare facility, or similar setting.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors, including special diets and food allergies.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Culinary education or certification is an asset.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to providing high-quality meals for our residents.
