Job description

PPB Analytical Inc. is a leading commercial testing laboratory dedicated to delivering accurate and reliable testing services to our clients in cannabis and environmental sectors. As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst with extensive experience in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) systems for accurate quantification of THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids.
- Prepare cannabis samples for testing following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Health Canada, ISO, and other relevant cannabis testing standards.
- Analyze and interpret chromatographic data, ensuring precision and reliability of results.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily logs, reports, and sample tracking.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure data integrity and adherence to quality control protocols.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and HPLC systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in cannabis testing.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating HPLC systems, preferably in a cannabis or pharmaceutical testing environment.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, including sample preparation, calibration, and validation.
- Familiarity with cannabis testing regulations and standards (Health Canada, ISO 17025, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis software and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to generate clear, concise reports.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in cannabinoid profiling and testing using HPLC.
- Knowledge of other analytical techniques such as GC-MS or LC-MS.

Pay: $38,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
