**Job Title**: Stair Builder

**Reports To**: Shop Supervisor

**Hours**: 7:00 am
- 4:00 pm Monday
- Thursday, Friday 7:00am to 12:00pm

**Pay**:$20.00- $30.00

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

Build Carpet grade and hardwood stairs, may assist with the installation of railings, newels, spindles, and trim, in new construction and residential renovation settings, by following work orders specific to the jobsite in a safe and efficient manner.

**Responsibility** _(Job tasks are as outlined, but not limited to)_:

- Reading work orders and following them closely for each stair build
- Maintaining a safe and clean work-site
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Track all equipment and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and how it pertains to railings
- Finish Carpenter skills
- Working with various hardwoods
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Valid G driver’s license an asset
- Working at Heights certification is an asset
